There was confusion with the booking however, the staff resolved it very quickly and efficiently. The accommodation, food and service was excellent

    visited Highgrove, and Westonbirt Arboretum.

Only stayed for the one night and was the perfect location for the wedding I attended. Very peaceful area.

The pub itself was lovely - extensive grounds, friendly and helpful staff, good beer. It was nice to be just next to our room. Excellent location for travelling around the south-west. The room was very pleasant and fairly comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.

Our room faced directly onto a main road which was extremely noisy and disturbed us throughout the early hours of the morning. The double bed was just two singles pushed together.

  • Couple
    8.2

The breakfast was both extensive and tasty and the bed was very comfortable.

The ensuite shower was a little cramped and the address I had was listed as being in Tetbury, when it is definitely not.

the location was very practical as close to wedding venue. Sunday roast very good as was 'specials board'

room offered poor value for money in comparison to similar venues we have stayed at. Only travel size kettle, no disposal facility for sanitary ware, no toilet roll holder, shower and surrounding walls in poor state of repair. Would not return or recommend to others

The location was halfway between the places we wanted to visit. It was easy to find and a very convenient place to stay. The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful.

Paint was flaking from the walls in places and it desperately needs renovation. We were brought our main meals before the starters, then had to wait while the starters were prepared. The meal was tasty but spoiled by the poor waitering.

Tranquility and privacy was good. Room & bed comfortable. Food cheap and adequate.

Some of the fittings had been wrecked by previous occupants, but it must be difficult to keep up with ..

  • Older travelers

Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly staff, nicely refurbished room, good value 2-for-9.95 meals, period character (olde beams etc.)

Public areas could do with update (replace patterned carpets!). Another reading lamp essential in the room we stayed in (only one provided on one side of the double bed)

    clean rooms, wonderful breakfast

unfortunately we booked and paid for a double room online, which looked lovely in the photo but when we arrived they could not find our booking so we ended up in the family room in the annex which was not what we had paid for or expected! Then, we wanted to dine that evening and waited 20 minutes to be served but to no avail, to then be told that they had run out of potato's and that any food we ordered would take another 45 minutes at least before arriving. A family there had been waiting over an hour for food which had still not arrived! They were very understaffed (2 waitresses serving all the guests and the inn was full). We ended up going out to a restaurant to avoid starvation!

Old world. Value for money, both food and accomadation.Nice outside area for eating and families.

No problems except out of mint sauce and serving lamb !

We booked the Inn as a break in our journey home to Yorkshire from our holiday in Cornwall - a brilliant choice. Everything was superb inc. food.

  • Older travelers
    8.8

close to a lot of interesting places to visit in the cotswolds, good choice of reasonably priced meals, friendly staff

the rooms at front of hotel suffer from traffic noise, luckily this time we were at back of hotel and it was very quiet

  • Older travelers
    7.4

    Excellent breakfast service and food.

Due to late arrival, 2200, very much a wind down service experienced at reception and in bar.

  • Older travelers
    9.0

Friendliness and efficiency of staff and kindness of landlady. Olde-worlde atmosphere of building, good food and warm atmosphere where locals and visitors socialise together.
